We had the opportunity to work with Notts County Council on a meaningful project aimed at fostering inclusivity for individuals who are hard of hearing or deaf. Our task was to create a fully signed video that would serve as a vital resource in the Big Conversation initiative. This initiative is designed to gather feedback from the community regarding the various services provided by the County Council, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

The process of filming this video was both rewarding and enlightening. We collaborated closely with skilled sign language interpreters who not only brought their expertise but also an understanding of the nuances involved in effectively conveying information to the deaf and hard of hearing communities. Our goal was to create a video that was not just informative but also engaging and accessible.
This project not only demonstrates the commitment of Notts County Council to inclusivity but also reinforces the idea that everyone’s opinion matters. As we continue to work on similar projects, we remain dedicated to finding innovative ways to bridge communication gaps and foster a sense of belonging for all members of the community. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to share their thoughts and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the services that shape our lives.
